Stadano bridge, the longest cable suspension bridge in Italy

The bridge over the River Magra in Stadano is the longest cable suspension bridge in Italy.

It is part of a large construction plan, designed to restore the area destroyed in the flooding of 2011.

As part of this construction plan, Redaelli supplied cable systems and clamps for a total of three bridges, as well as carrying out site installation and tensioning activities. These three suspension bridges, designed by Studio De Miranda Associati, were built in Tuscany in Mulazzo, Castagnetoli and Stadano.

In 2020, another milestone will be hit in Austria: a cable suspension bridge reaching 306 meters in length! We invite you to join us at the Danube Bridges conference in Vienna from 25 – 27 September 2019.
